Laying the Foundation for Successful Collaboration
Arranging rewarding interactions between member company managers and MIT experts is the most highly valued service the ILP provides. Hundreds of productive MIT/Industry collaborations can be traced to introductions facilitated by the Program's Industrial Liaison Officers (ILOs).

Your Eyes and Ears on Campus
In touch with your company's vision and a veteran MIT insider, your ILO is in a position to quickly identify and engage the interest of faculty conducting relevant research to lay the groundwork for productive meetings. The ILO can streamline an otherwise lengthy process, eliminating fruitless inquiries and saving critical time.

Expect your ILO to facilitate faculty interactions including:

• one-on-one meetings at MIT or at your company location. Your ILO will typically arrange four or five days of private meetings a year with MIT faculty. Whether focused on a specific issue or prompted by a broader desire to explore a faculty member's research, each meeting can open doors to more in-depth relationships.
• research briefings or seminars. Arranged yearly for a group of your senior corporate staff, these briefings keep your company in touch with emerging technologies and can inform strategic planning efforts.
