Your Advocate at MIT
The Industrial Liaison Program (ILP) provides each of approximately 200 member companies with a rich set of customized services to help each organization access relevant MIT resources and benefit from the Institute's human and intellectual capital.
A Proactive Partner
Each company joining the ILP is assigned an Industrial Liaison Officer (ILO) who assembles and marshals the Program's services to advance the company's business agenda at MIT.
Visits to company locations and frequent contact with company representatives keep your ILO knowledgeable about your needs. An expert at how the MIT academic/commercial interface works, your ILO is familiar with your industry, and can quickly grasp the import of emerging MIT technology, draw relevant parallels to your business, introduce you to potentially valuable advances, and help you develop ways to leverage them for your business advantage.
Specific services provided through your ILO include:
- facilitated interactions with faculty, including private meetings with MIT experts and customized workshops
- a stream of information serving your company's needs and interests, including industry overviews, research reports and articles
- admission to MIT Conferences and events, typically provided at no additional cost, offering opportunities to network with industry and MIT colleagues
- access to the KnowledgeBase, placing relevant faculty and research information at your fingertips
- perquisites including discounts, access to the MIT Library, and more
